When you select multiple categories, the system searches for books at the\u00a0intersection\u00a0<\/strong>of those categories. For instance, if you check off both “fantasy” and “WLW” the results will be stories that are both\u00a0<\/strong>categorized as “fantasy” and “WLW.”<\/p>\n

The categories falling under “Intersecting Identities” refer to the protagonists, not the authors. I do not have a tag for “ownvoices,” since many of these books contain multiple types of representation and just labeling them “ownvoices” could be confusing. However, you can select the tags “Authors of Color” and “Queer Authors” to see only books by authors of those identities.<\/p>\n

Also, please note that the more categories and tags you select, the fewer results you’ll receive. I’m working on adding to this database, but there are still holes, especially when it comes to intersecting identities.<\/p>\n
